It's Froggy here

For about the last week (or at least since I've been home from NYC), Seattle has been under an intense fog. Or as Madi likes to say, "It sure is Froggy here".

It's not like the fog at home that stays on ground a couple of hours and dissipates. Our fog is so dense that is remains on the ground all day. As we learned from our wonderful weather forecasters, it''s actually sunny outside but it's so cold that the dense air remains on the ground and we aren't able to see the sun.

Below are a few pics I took this weekend. The first three are from late afternoon on Sunday. For about an hour the sun broke through and we were able to see the sun setting.  The last two pics I took on my way home from work yesterday. Usually I can see the shoreline on the lake, or Mt. Rainier, but yesterday all I saw was gray.

I don't want to complain too much about the fog, because as I've learned, a day without rain (even if it's grey outside) is definitely a plus!

  1. You got some great pics of the grey skies. I am enjoying the no rain, but I sure am missing the sun/blue skies that should accompany the no rain. It was so bad on Friday I was driving around at lunch and you couldn't see the next traffic light until you were about 50 yards away.

  2. The fog has been crazy! Sometimes we get a couple of days of this, but I don't remember it lasting this long before. Last Friday it was really bad the fog had froze so the roads were super icy. I even slid through a stop light. Opps lucky there was no traffic.
